Cyberpunk 2077 Has A Day, Night, And Weather Cycle, Bikes Inspired By Akira; More Replayability Than Witcher 3

Cyberpunk 2077 was finally shown at Microsoft’s E3 2018 press conference and this was followed by a closed demo for the press. The demo showed more around 1 hours of in-game footage from the game including driving around the city and experiencing its futuristic life.

YouTuber Angry Joe had the chance to interview Cyberpunk developers at E3 2018 and he managed to get some interesting information from them.

The developers confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 has a full day and night cycle. The time of the day will have an impact on how the city operates so you will have a different experience at night than during the day. It is not just limited to the day and night time but there will be other weather effects like acid rain.

If you were wondering about the vehicles, along with cars, motorbikes are also confirmed and the developers tease that they are futuristic in style just like it was in the cult classic Akira anime. As a joke, the developers call the car driven by the lead character as Roachster, which is a play on Roach, the horse in Witcher 3.

Finally, if you wanted to know more about the replay value for the game and how it compares to Witcher 3, the developers assured that the game will have more replayability than Witcher 3, which was their largest game ever before the development of Cyberpunk 2077.

Cyberpunk 2077 is confirmed for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The game is being developed by CD Project Red. They haven’t confirmed a release date for it but expect to hear more about it at the upcoming Gamescom.
