Cyberpunk 2077 director says no to Ciri appearing in the game

Cyberpunk 2077 director Adam Badowski seems sick of people asking him about Witcher heroine Ciri appearing in their upcoming game.

If you haven’t played The Witcher 3, towards the end of the game Ciri mentions that she traveled to a world very similar to Cyberpunk’s to escape The Wild Hunt. Fans have been speculating that this Easter egg would lead to a full blown cameo in the upcoming first-person RPG.

Fans have been very vocal about her inclusion even editing trailers with her voiceover.

He mentions that he’s “totally against it” in an interview with Polygon.

We are not Kingdom Hearts,

We are not joining universes, and I know that there are a lot of fans on the team and they would like to have Ciri in the game. But I am totally against it, still.

CD Projekt Red CEO Marcin Iwinski followed:

Maybe you will change your mind,

There is a little hope there.

In the end the decision lies with the director where he wants the direction of the game to go but we’re hopeful.
