CD Projekt Red has debuted a new gameplay demo for Cyberpunk 2077 after Gamescom. Here is a look at how this demo compares to E3 2019 footage and Johnny Silverhand reveal.
Fans might remember how CD Projekt Red had shown Johnny Silverhand at E3 with a cinematic trailer. We had our doubts that they would be able to make his character look as good as the cinematic in the game. We had covered about it earlier when it was clear that this won’t be the case.
The new gameplay footage shared by CD Projekt Red has made it clear that Johnny Silverhand’s character model is unfortunately not that great looking. In the game’s first-person cutscenes, he can look terrible mostly due to a combination of his hair and the assets that don’t match up well with it.
Here is a look at how CD Projekt Red sold Johnny Silverhand during E3.
Here is how he actually ends up looking in the game.
The second comparison is for E3 2019 and Gamescom footage. It was made by the folks over at Cyberpunk 2077 reddit.
The E3 demo had a different tone and style to the Gamescom one. It is hard to say if there was a downgrade here but the game doesn’t seem to look as good as the original gameplay reveal that was shared last year.
Cyberpunk 2077 will be out on April 16, 2020, for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
