Dark Souls 3 Is Now Playable In English With This Trick

If you are eagerly waiting for the newest Dark Souls and don’t have the patience to wait for it, you can use this trick to download the English version of the game ahead of the official western launch on April 12th.

Dark Souls 3 is out in Japan on March 24th while it won’t be released in English until its North American and European launch on April 12th. While the Japanese version of the game only has the Japanese localization (duh) there is a trick to download the game in English, although it is restricted to the Xbox One version of the game.

To download Dark Souls 3 in English before it launches on April 12th, you will need to purchase the game from the Xbox Live store in Japan. You can follow the steps listed below to get the game and download it in English.

  1. Create a new account and set the region to Japan.
  2. Get the required Xbox Credit from Microsoft Store in Yen.
  3. Buy the game using the store credit you just purchased, for address, enter any location from Japan. You can get the location using Google Maps.
  4. After purchasing the game, just set your new account region to UK or US and you will be able to download it in English.

Dark Souls 3 will be released on April 12th but this trick allows the users who own an Xbox One to download the US and UK version before the official launch. Keep in mind that you have to use this trick at your own risk, and that too if you simply don’t have the patience to wait for a few weeks.

Let us know if you have managed to purchase the game in English using this trick in the comments below.
