Dark Souls III releases in Japan on March 24, 2016; PS4 Online Beta in October

From Software’s latest iteration in the Dark Souls series, Dark Souls III, will see the light of day in Japan on March 24, 2016 for the PS4 and Xbox One. No release date has been confirmed for the PC version, however. Similarly, release dates outside of Japan for all three platforms will be announced on a later date.

The box art for both the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Dark Souls III can be seen below.

The first print editions will come in special packaging, which will also include a map of the game’s world.

In addition, the game will receive an online beta for the PS4, which will be live between October 16-18 this year. At this point, it is not known whether the network test will be conducted on a global scale or if it is limited to Japan.

With TGS 2015 coming up in a few days, Bandai Namco is bound to share more information regarding the game’s online beta, which is scheduled to happen exclusively for the PS4. Stay tuned for more on how and when to sign up for a chance to participate. Until then, let us know what you think of Dark Souls III’s box art in the comments below.
