Namco Bandai has released sales figures for Dark Souls III and by the looks of it, the game and the whole series has done pretty well.
Note that the numbers released are shipments to retailers not sales to the end consumer, tiny bit of a difference. Shipments for Dark Souls III have surpassed 3 million units. By region the game sold 1.5million in North America, 500k in Japan and 1million in Europe.
The Dark Souls series itself hit the 13million shipped number with the latest game’s release which if you didn’t know was the fastest selling title in the series.
Dark Souls III released for PS4, PC and Xbox One in April earlier this year to critical acclaim. Unfortunately there won’t be any more games in the series, at least in the near future anyway.
