Work On Days Gone Started 5 Years Ago, Currently 100+ Devs; Early 2019 Launch

Days Gone is upcoming PS4 exclusive from Sony Bend Studio. They have previously worked on Uncharted: Golden Abyss for the PS Vita and Days Gone is their first major project in the last 5 years. GameInformer recently shared plenty of coverage for the game including behind the scenes development and new footage.

Plenty of new information about the game has been revealed and you can read it in their June 2018 magazine. Days Gone was the first idea for the development team that they had after the work on Uncharted: Golden Abyss was finished. They are a relatively small team but currently they have around 100 developers that are working on the game. Size wise, this is a pretty modest team for such a large scale project with the scope of an open world.

Among other things, the developers have also confirmed that Days Gone will offer a photo mode in the game. They are planning to launch it in early 2019 and it should be out before the release of The Last of Us Part 2. Days Gone will also feature fast travel while the story will change depending on the choices that you make so the ending will be different for each player.

Days Gone Will Take Around 30 Hours Or More To Complete

Days Gone is out next year exclusively for the PS4. It is being developed by Sony Bend Studio and will be published by Sony Interactive Entertainment.
