Dead Island mobile game is a work in progress as stated by Koch CEO Klemens Kundratitz. Koch is the parent company of Deep Silver, the publisher of the original game.
Kundratitz did not provide any further information about the game like the expected release date or whether it will be a free-for-all or a premium game. It is not sure right now whether the mobile game will follow the same first-person camera like the franchise’s first two releases.
During an interview with MCV, Klemens Kundratitz said that Dead Island is still a very important franchise for them and that they are totally committed towards it. He reiterated the importance of the Dead Island franchise by saying that “It put us on the map in the first place.” Kundratitz revealed that several projects in the franchise are under development at this moment in time.
To further explain these developments he said:
“I can tell you we are also working on a mobile game under the IP, which we will have more to say about in a little while. That’s just two things that are happening on the IP. As I said, the franchise has our full attention.”
The second thing is obviously Dead Island 2, whose release date is yet to be announced.
