Hideo Kojima Is Aiming To Release Death Stranding In 2018

Death Stranding is the latest project from the acclaimed game developer Hideo Kojima. After leaving Konami, he has formed his own studio, Kojima Productions. The first project is a collaboration with Sony called Death Stranding. It was revealed at E3 2016 with a teaser trailer featuring Norman Reedus.

Death Stranding will be a single player game but with a co-op element. Kojima says that the co-op that will be featured in Death Stranding hasn’t been seen in any other game so far.

As for the cast of the game, they are still looking into it. Kojima did confirm that there will be a heroine in the game but they haven’t cast anyone for it yet.

While the game is still early in development, Death Stranding will be out in 2018. Atleast this is what Kojima is aiming for in term of the release of the game. He also confirmed that they are using another developer’s engine that is not available to anyone else. Since Kojima visited a lot of first party Sony studios, there is a good chance he is utilizing one of their engine.
