Death Stranding Release Date Leak Is A Placeholder, Says Walmart Canada

Walmart Canada has commented on the recent Death Stranding release date rumor that cites a launch next year.

Death Stranding is rumored for The Game Awards which will start on December 6. The release date being mentioned is also one of the rumors for the game, but there is no official confirmation about it.

Walmart Canada had recently listed Death Stranding’s release date as June 30, 2019. This appears to have been a simple placeholder as confirmed by Walmart Canada in a new tweet.

The tweet made by Walmart Canada was in response to a user which was asking confirmation of the release date. Of course, it is likely not going to come from Walmart, still, they stepped up and clarified that this was a mistake on their part and this is supposedly a placeholder release date for Death Stranding.

There is currently no release date or release year set for Death Stranding, however, the game director Hideo Kojima did say that they have a release date set for the game and will reveal it when the time is right for it.

Death Stranding uses Guerrilla Games Decima game engine and the story and other details around it are still shrouded in mystery. The game is confirmed to launch exclusively for the PS4. It will be developed by Kojima Productions and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment.
