Gamescom just started off with a bang with news I personally did not expect. Without teasing you guys any more, today Activision and Microsoft announced that the Xbox One version of Call of Duty: Ghosts will have dedicated servers for matchmaking powered by the Cloud.
Although Activision didn’t make it clear that if the dedicated servers will be exclusive to the Xbox One or will they also be coming to the Playstation 4 and PC (Black Ops 2 on PC had dedicated servers). Fans planning on purchasing the current gen versions of Ghosts should not expect dedicated servers as chances of the devs putting them in is very slim.
Call of Duty: Ghosts executive producer Mark Rubin didn’t mention the possibility of dedicated servers in his post E3 interview so not many were expecting their addiction.
Overall dedicated servers for the Xbox One is definitely good news as players will get a better connection while playing multiplayer. Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
