Destiny 2 Servers Are Still Down As Maintenance Extended For 2 More Hours

Destiny 2

Destiny 2 is currently undergoing a scheduled maintenance today that was supposed to last for 4 hours. It wasn’t until the maintenance was near its end that the downtime was updated from the previously announced 4 to 5 hours. This has been further extended 2 more hours and the current scheduled maintenance end is set for 3 PM PST.

Destiny 2 server maintenance will be a monthly routine as clarified by Bungie although this extended maintenance period is proving to be a frustration for some users who are voicing their disappointment over reddit, Twitter and other social media platforms.

Destiny 2 has also received a short update today along with the server maintenance downtime. There are no details revealed for what this update actually implements for the game, but since Bungie hasn’t really announced any major changes, it should be related to the server maintenance.

Destiny 2 is the sequel to the blockbuster hit by Bungie. It was published by Activision Blizzard for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One in 2014 and received a strong post-launch support on all platforms. The sequel was announced coming to PC for the first time at E3 2017 and it will launch at a later date, on October 26th. The catch is that despite the delay, the PC version will support 60 FPS and 4K resolution on PC.
