The highly anticipated Destiny Beta is right around the corner. IGN got early access to the Destiny Beta and we saw what the Destiny Beta had to offer on the IGN stream.
We didn’t see anything new as the livestream only progressed to the part where the Alpha ended. However, Bungie’s Community Manager “DeeJ” was present in the IGN studio during the livestream and he answered a few questions asked by the IGN staff as well as the fans who were watching the livestream. DeeJ revealed that fans will only be able to play a single PvP game mode during the Beta. The game mode will be Control, the same game mode that fans played during the Alpha. DeeJ also revealed the name of other game modes which fans will be able to play when the full game comes out on the 9th of September. The game modes are listed below:
- Combined Arms
DeeJ also revealed that Bungie will be releasing new Crucible Maps as the Beta progresses.
DeeJ talked about the player’s level once they start up the Beta. Players will start from level zero, however the max level cap is still unknown. We still don’t know whether a player’s progress will carry over to the final game, but DeeJ revealed that an official announcement will be made soon.
The Destiny Beta begins today at 10:00 am PST / 1:00 pm EST for PlayStation users and July 23 for Xbox users.
Destiny comes out on the 9th of September for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
