- Keep an eye out for weird markings on the floor or walls. These have to be properly lined up to unlock secret missions.
- Play the game on the Devil Hunter difficulty for the best experience as intended by the game director.
- Get all the basic combos unlocked for all three characters as soon as possible. This will help you get stylish rank.

- If you have turned it on, disable the auto-assist mode that takes away control of the combo system.
- Explore every nook and cranny of every mission to find secrets and even red/gold orbs.

- Try to take the action to air by juggling enemies. It greatly helps in stylish ranking.
- Get a sense of the story mode by completing the game. Don’t try to get S ranking right from the beginning.
- Brace yourself for the boss fights. Enemies are easier but the real challenge is the boss that comes at the end of a mission.
- Save gold orbs for boss fights only in case of emergency. You can always continue the fight from the start of a checkpoint.
- Make sure to equip the Devil Breakers for Nero so that you are able to switch them during battle.
