New Devil May Cry 5 Concept Art Reveals Alternative Look For Dante, And More

Devil May Cry 5 sees the return of Dante to the series but an early iteration of the game had a completely different concept art for him.

Capcom shared a new concept art for Dante at Tokyo Game Show 2018 after giving a presentation on the behind the scenes development of the game.

The following images give us an early look at the design for Dante. It is interesting to see how this design was different from the current version. The character designer for this concept art was veteran Daigo Ikeno who has worked on Devil May Cry 2 and 3.

Capcom also shared concept for the Cavaliere, the motorcycle/chainsaw weapon that was seen in the TGS 2018 trailer. The originally intended it for Nero but it was later changed to Dante. They tried different concepts for it as seen in the images.

Along with sharing the design for Dante, they also showed his Devil Trigger and shared images of the actor Adam Cowie being scanned to create the character model of Dante in Devil May Cry 5.

Devil May Cry 5 will launch on March 8th for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One. You can get all the new details about the Deluxe Edition as well as the PC version system requirements from here. The game is being developed and published by Capcom.
