Devil May Cry 5: Who is the Final Boss?

Devil May Cry 5 has advertised Urizen as its main antagonist but is he the final boss?

Devil May Cry 5 was announced at E3 2018 last year to massive fan excitement who were glad to see the beloved franchise some back. The new game introduced brand new characters including a new villain called Urizen, who is supposed to be stronger than the enemies fought by Dante and his buddies so far.

This post contains story spoilers so read at your own discretion.

The game’s final boss is another story as Urizen is kind of the final boss and not him at the same time.

Who is the Final Boss of Devil May Cry 5?

Urizen’s real identity was a secret until the game came out and people got to play it. There’s a very obvious twist with Urizen and new protagonist V’s identity. The truth is they are two parts of Vergil, the true final boss. Yep, Virgil is back as the final boss of Devil May Cry 5.

Vergil cut himself in half using the Yamato he got back from Nero at the start of the game. V is supposed to be his human half and Urizen his demon half. Vergil is revived when Urizen and V join towards the end of the game. Vergil has also recovered from his condition since Urizen consumed the blood fruit giving him a new lease on line.
