Internet has been buzzing about Devil May Cry 5 recently due to a surge of rumors surrounding its reveal at E3 2018. The game has been rumored for a long while now and it has also been teased in the Special Edition for Devil May Cry 4.
UK retailer Base.com has now listed the PS4 version of Devil May Cry 5 for a release in March 2019. This is an interesting listing for the game since the website doesn’t mention any other version for Devil May Cry 5, which backs up the leak about the game being exclusive to the PlayStation 4.
The second thing to take notice of here is the release date. While it is a placeholder date, it fits with the Q1 2019 rumor from the leak. This also falls in line with other big games from Capcom that have all launched in Q1 of each year starting with Resident Evil 7 in 2017 and followed by Monster Hunter World in 2018. If the pattern continues, we might see Devil May Cry 5 in Q1 2019.
Of course, this is all speculation for now but there is a pretty good chance we might see the game at the upcoming E3 2018. Devil May Cry 5 domain was also registered recently and it is from the same company that has registered domains for Monster Hunter World, Resident Evil 7 among others. Devil May Cry producer Hideaki Itsuno has confirmed he will be able to share his new project soon so perhaps E3 is the time to do it.
