Devil May Cry Director Teases New Project, Says It Is ‘Under Climax’

Devil May Cry series has yet to make an entry for the current generation consoles. There has been a release for the remaster for Devil May Cry 4 along with the reboot DmC, but the series so far hasn’t received a new entry this generation. Capcom is now planning to release the first 3 games for the PS4 and Xbox One later this year, however the game designer and director behind the Devil May Cry series has just teased his new project in a tweet.

It has been long rumored that Capcom is working on a brand new Devil May Cry game and the rumor surfaced in a major way just recently. This project was supposed to be revealed last year but has been put under wraps for now. Hideaki Itsuno is the main person behind the Devil May Cry series and while he has also worked on Dragon’s Dogma, it is highly unlikely that his new project is a sequel to Dragon’s Dogma, after all majority of the rumors points towards a new Devil May Cry game.

Itsuno promised in 2017 that his project will be revealed this year, but the plans changed, for which he also apologized later. Now in a new tweet, he seems to be rather confident about his project teasing that we might see it soon.

Hopefully the curtain is pulled soon for the new project by Hideaki Itsuno so we might be able to finally see his work. As for the rumors so far, the ending screen for the Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition already teased a new game so even if there is no official confirmation, there is a good chance we might be getting a new adventure for Dante and company.
