It seems that Diablo 3 may indeed be making its way to the Xbox One if the pre-order listing for some retailers is to be believed.
Currently, Diablo 3 is available for PC, Xbox 360, PS3 and even on Mac. It has been slated for release on the PS4 but there was no word for the Xbox One version. Blizzard shrugged off when asked about the Xbox One version saying,
“One of our goals is to bring Diablo 3 to as many players as possible, but we don’t have any other platform announcements to share at this time.”
However, some eagle-eyed readers had noticed that the game was listed for pre-order on UK retailer Argus and Canada’s Best Buy but at the time of writing, the pages had been removed. Image here.
As seen from the picture, the game is listed for almost $63 but there is no exact release date.
The game is available on all the leading consoles so its only natural to assume that it will also arrive on the Xbox One. The PS4 version of the game is scheduled to be released some time in March after the game’s first DLC, Reaper Of Souls, lands on PC so maybe the Xbox version will also be launched around the same time. It is also possible that the PS4 version would be a timed-exclusive but in any case, not having a Xbox One version would surely hurt Blizzard’s pockets and the fans of the series.
