Diablo 3 Update Version 1.01 Is Out Today For Nintendo Switch; Here’s What It Does

Diablo 3 has received a new update today for the Nintendo Switch. Here’s what is fixed or changed in this update.

Diablo 3 launched just a few days ago for the Nintendo Switch, and it has already received its first post-launch update. There are unfortunately no official patch notes available for it. We do have an idea of what to expect from this update.

The most important change is perhaps that the game’s icon has been replaced and now it defaults to a new one which feels more suitable for it. This can be seen in the two images below that show both the old and new Diablo 3 icon (source).

As for what has been fixed in this update, the official Blizzard community manager stated in a Reddit comment that it was mainly for bug fixes.

There are a number of bug fixes, but I can’t comment on whether that particular one is among them. I’ll see what I can find out.

It was later confirmed by users that this, unfortunately, doesn’t patch the issue with Necromancer in the Nintendo Switch version, however, it might be a part of an upcoming update.

Diablo 3 is available now for the Nintendo Switch. It was developed and published by Activision Blizzard.
