Don’t Starve Will Not Have Co-Op or Multiplayer

Don’t Starve has gotten really popular, really fast. People all over the world have started playing this game. Everyone hoped that this game would get Co-Op or multiplayer patched into it but unfortunately, that won’t be happening.

Don’t Starve developer Klei confirms that PS4 and PC survival game, Don’t Starve, will not be getting a co-op mode patched in to the game.

The designer of Don’t Starve, Kevin Forbes NowGamer that it is something that the team has thought about and was against it.

He said, “We discussed this a lot internally during the early access phase, and we came to the conclusion that it didn’t fit with our vision for the game, and it would divert development resources from the experience we were trying to create,”

Forbes also told us why Klei decided to bring Don’t Starve to the PS4 and how being on PS Plus has benefited the game.

“We’re always looking for platforms that are a good fit for our games, and a new console generation is a great time to do some exploring.

“There are a lot of gamers that don’t play PC games,” Forbes continued, “so getting on to a console meant bringing our game to a huge new audience. I’m pretty happy when more people are playing Don’t Starve.”

“I think that PS Plus made a lot of people who wouldn’t have otherwise tried a game like Don’t Starve give it a shot,” Forbes said.

“Some of those people bounced right off of it, but others found out that they liked it, and will hopefully be receptive to trying other indie games in the future.”

That was all Kevin Forbes had to say about the matter.
