Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Lite, a F2P version of the original, announced for Switch

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Lite, a free-to-play version of the game, was just announced for the Nintendo Switch in the latest issue of V-Jump.

Bandai Namco released Xenoverse 2 Lite earlier this year in March for the PS4 and Xbox One. The Switch version will be released on the Switch via the eShop later this Summer.

The Switch version is expected to be the same as the PS4 and Xbox One versions. The F2P Lite version will have five story episodes from the full game that include:

  • Raditz’s Attack,
  • The Saiyan Threat”
  • Ruckus on Planet Namek
  • The Ginyu Force Strikes
  • The Galactic Emperor

Players will also be able to take part in Online Battles and Quests, even with those users who have the full game. However the Online Events as well as the Expert Missions will stay exclusive to the full game owners only. Additionally the Lite versions also allows participation in the Heror Colosseum mode with full functionality.

If you enjoy the game and want the full experience, the game has an option to seamlessly move all your data to the full version of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 post-purchase. The full game is available currently on the PS4, Xbox One, PC as well as Nintendo Switch for a discounted price. So this is a great deal to see if the game is for you before jumping into it. Xenoverse 2 also has a ton of content right now after multiple Season Passes so the game is hours upon hours of enjoyment. You can also read our review of the game here.
