Bandai Namco has announced that their highly anticipated game, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, will be getting an open beta before the game’s official launch, although no official date has yet been announced by the company.
The beta will allow players to explore the game’s new hub, Conton city, which is reportedly going to be around seven times as big as the first game’s hub, and it is here that players can pick up quests, train and shop. We also learned of the new Expert Mission multiplayer mode, which will allow up to six players to engage in battle with giant bosses.
Additionally, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will feature twice the amount of quests present in the first game, as well as a new system which controls rare item drops which will allow players to gain new accessories and costumes for their characters.
Finally, we have also learned that Majin Vegeta will be joining the playable roster of characters in the game.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is set to release on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and the PC on 25th October in North America, 28th October in Europe and 2nd November in Japan. The game is reported to run at a frame rate of 60 frames per second on all three platforms, and unlike it’s prequel, will not be coming out on last-gen consoles.
