Dragon Quest X is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game and is the tenth installment in the highly popular Dragon Quest series.
The game was originally released back on the 2nd of August, 2012, and we knew for a while that the game was in development for the PlayStation 4. And now, new information has come to light, courtesy of DualShockers, that confirms that Dragon Quest X will also be getting a release for the Nintendo NX.
Producer Yosuke Saito and director Chikara Saito have revealed, in an interview with Japanese magazine Weekly Famitsu, that a version of Dragon Quest X is indeed in development for the Nintendo NX. The game is currently running on version 3.3 in Japan, and the Nintendo NX and PlayStation 4 versions may launch on version 4, which is also set to include a brand new class.
The announcement comes as no surprise since Square Enix had previously mentioned that Nintendo NX ports for both Dragon Quest X and Dragon Quest XI were under consideration by the company, and since the NX is still yet to launch, both games would make excellent launch titles for the console.
While an official release date has not been announced for the game, or in fact for the NX, Dragon Quest X itself is currently out on the Wii, Wii U, Nintendo 3DS, Android and PC. The sequel, Dragon Quest XI, is also set to release sometime this year.
