Initially set to release alongside the PS4, PC and 3DS versions; Dragon Quest XI for Nintendo Switch was delayed due to technical reasons. The game is now finally coming out and will be called ‘Dragon Quest XI S’.
The announcement was made by series producer Yuji Horii who stated the added ‘S’ stands for ‘Switch’, ‘Sieyuu’ (VA), and ‘Speaking’.
Square Enix just announced "Dragon Quest XI S" for Switch. No release date hints, but S, according to developers, indicates "Switch" "Special" "Character voices (shaberu, in Japanese) as well as "Initial of voice actor(s)". "But S doesn't mean small," the firm says. pic.twitter.com/y6VFVwJBdV

We expect this version to come with additional content, DLC maybe?
The game released for PC and PS4 in the West earlier this month. In Japan the game was released for PS4 and the Nintendo 3DS back in July of 2017.
Square Enix did not announce a release date but I would bet money for a 2019 release.
