EA Servers Go Down As The Company Issues Apology [Update]

Electronic Arts’ servers are apparently down today as users all over the world are reporting issues with accessing them in game. The issues reported are for games like FIFA 16 and others which use EA Servers for in-game access and content.

This downtime was acknowledged by EA and they have issued a statement assuring that they are working on fixing it as soon as possible.

As seen in the tweet, the issue currently affects many titles that utilizes EA Servers. So if you are facing issue in any of these games, you have to wait until the issue is resolved. This issue is confirmed for all the major platforms including PC, PS4 and Xbox One.


Over at reddit, users are also reporting issues with the smartphone companion app for FIFA 16 in addition to the game. So this problem is currently affecting almost all the major services of EA including their games.

EA is not the only company that has faced issues with servers in the holidays as we have seen Microsoft’s Xbox Live and Sony’s PlayStation Network, both face downtime during the holidays in the past. Xbox Live had some issue the past couple of days related to server downtime.

Update: They are back up, as confirmed by EA Support.
