Fortnite users who were unfairly banned or due to a mistake are getting their accounts back with an apology that comes with huge amount of V-Bucks.
Fortnite Battle Royale is a worldwide phenomenon right now so normally it has a lot of players attempting it daily. Recently, it was revealed that Epic Games are restoring any accounts that they consider having banned as a ‘Mistake’ and they are apologizing with a reward, which comes in the form of huge V-Bucks.
There are multiple reports from users on Twitter that confirm that this is being sent in emails, and once you login back into your Epic account, you are presented with the following screen rewarding 2000 V-Bucks.
The user who has shared this has stated that this was an alternative account that was banned since July, so it definitely feels like a lot of time passed between the ban and then getting it reverted back by Epic Games.
The message sent along with the additional V-Bucks states that they are being offered as a way of apology by Epic Games. Here is what is said in the official message.
We incorrectly banned your account. We’re sorry and will be granting V-Bucks to your account to compenstate for the error.
It is currently not clear that what exactly constitutes as an ‘error’ here since Epic Games hasn’t clarified it. The real-life equivalent of these V-Bucks is roughly $20 so it is a nice gesture from Epic Games, although if it was a mistake, then it shouldn’t have happened in the first place.
Fortnite is available now on the PS4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Smartphones. It has recently received an update version 1.92 and patch 1.30 on all other platforms.
