Evil Within 2 And Wolfenstein II Confirmed To Support 4K Ultra HD On Xbox One X

The Evil Within 2 and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus were both revealed by Bethesda in their E3 2017 conference and since they have been confirmed for the PS4, Xbox One and PC, their support regarding Xbox One X is still not officially announced. Recently Microsoft has officially updated the game page for The Evil Within 2 and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus to confirm the support for 4K Ultra HD and HDR for both games. This lists 2 more games that are now confirmed to support the enhanced hardware of the Xbox One X.

You can check out the official updated game pages for The Evil Within 2 and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus to see the confirmation about the resolution and Xbox One X support. According to Microsoft’s definition of 4K Ultra HD, it can range from native 4K to dynamic checkerboard 4K support, so it remains to be seen what kind of approach the developers will implement with these two games.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is the sequel to the original Wolfenstein that was developed on id Tech engine that also support 60 FPS with dynamic resolution while the original The Evil Within ran in a weird aspect ratio with black bars at top and bottom although they were later removed in an update. Both of these games will now run at 4K resolution on the Xbox One X while the PS4 Pro support isn’t detailed yet.
