Fallout 4 preload is live on Steam, download size 23.8GB

Fallout 4 is only a few days away from its release, and fans who have pre-ordered the game are waiting anxiously to begin their latest post-apocalyptic journey. PC gamers will be glad to know that the game is now available for preload on Steam. Unfortunately, PS4 and Xbox One gamers will have to wait a little longer, as their respective digital stores have yet to make the preload available.

Bethesda’s Fallout 4 is the fifth installment in the Fallout series. The game is set 200 years after a nuclear war in post-apocalpytic Boston. Your character will emerge into the game’s seamless open world from an underground bunker known as a Vault.

While Fallout 4 is primarily an RPG, where you complete quests and acquire experience to level up your character, it’s also a shooter, with the combat heavily relying on weapons and the V.A.T.S. system. The studio had sought the help of Doom developer iD software to aid them in implementing deep and engaging weapon mechanics. It has also taken inspiration from Bungie’s Destiny with respect to its gunplay.

If you’re interested in preloading Fallout 4 and not wasting any time in getting in on the action, head over to the game’s Steam store page and pre-purchase the game now. The full download is sized at 23.8GB.

Fallout 4 is set to arrive in stores on November 10 for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Share your excitement for the game in the comments below.
