Fallout 76 Trophies Or Achievements Obtained During Beta Won’t Unlock Retroactively At Launch

Fallout 76 won’t actually allow you to carry over the full progress from the beta version, mainly the achievements and trophies.

Bethesda Softworks had confirmed that those who play the Fallout 76 Beta will be able to carry over their progress from the Beta version to the main game. This does apply, albeit with a major caveat as confirmed by Bethesda head of PR, Pete Hines recently.

Speaking to fans, Pete Hines was asked some questions about the game including how the progress carry over will work from the Beta version to the main game. First of all, he said that any player who has already completed the Beta won’t get any SPECIAL respec.

You can continue with any existing characters or start a new character. the game does not allow for SPECIAL respec.

If you were hoping that this changes in the future since respec are planned in an upcoming update, Pete Hines just shut it down that this isn’t how it works.

If you want to make sure that you don’t mess up your character build, Pete Hines stressed that there are no plans to allow respec for SPECIALs.

Not aware of any plans to allow respec. The game does not currently allow you to respec SPECIALs

When talking about trophies and achievements, which register separately for the ‘Beta’ version, it seems that you will have to play the game again and do all the hard work to unlock these again the final game.

Achievements and trophies won’t work retroactively. so if your character did something that unlocks an achievement, you’d have to do it again or create another character and do it if you want that achievement.

Fallout 76 will launch on November 14 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
