FIFA 17, released on September 27 in North America and September 29 in the rest of the world, is the latest yearly sports video game from EA Sports. This is the first FIFA game in the series to use Frostbite game engine. The game received mostly positive reviews upon its release with regard to its gameplay, the Frostbite engine, sound, and its overall presentation. Moreover, FIFA 17 has been the fastest selling version of the franchise.
Some of the new features in FIFA 17 include new attacking techniques, physical player overhaul, and active intelligence systems. The game features a single-player story campaign titled ‘The Journey’ for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, where players assume the role of a young footballer named Alex Hunter. At the beginning of the season, the Player can choose from any one of the 20 Premier League clubs.
According to official data, FIFA 17 sold more than 1 million copies in Germany on all platforms. The game sold around 500,000 copies on PS4 and approximately 100,000 on Xbox One.
