FIFA 18 demo is live for a couple of days now and it gives us a good chance at what to expect from the final game. The game has been confirmed to support the PS4 Pro at launch. Since FIFA 18 is the second game in the series to support the PS4 Pro, it is interesting to see how the developers have managed to use the extra time to utilize the hardware features offered by the PS4 Pro.
We have taken the time to capture a set of screenshots from the PS4 and PS4 Pro to see how both versions of the game can compare against each other. Since the full game is out in just a few days, this should be the final code for the game with nothing major in term of changes between the different versions.
FIFA 18 appears to render at 4K resolution on the PS4 Pro but it is hard to determine whether it is checkerboard rendering or native 4K. The game looks great on the PS4 Pro and holds up well on the regular PS4 as well, where it renders at native 1080p. There is no major visual difference between the both platforms that are noticeable aside from the resolution.
FIFA 18 is set to launch on September 29th for the PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch.
