FIFA 18 will be released for the Nintendo Switch in addition to the PS4, Xbox One and PC. The difference between the Switch version of the game and the rest of the platforms is that the Switch version is developed on its own custom engine and will miss out on the popular Alex Hunter’s story mode from FIFA 18.
Despite the custom engine for FIFA 18, the developers are apparently still able to make it run at 60 FPS and the Switch version has also been confirmed to support FIFA Ultimate Team. If you were curious of the download size for the Switch version of the game, it has now been confirmed through the official Nintendo store listing to be over 14 GB. The size might not be as small as the first party releases by Nintendo but compared to other major third party games like Resident Evil, it is smaller than average.
FIFA 18 will be out on September 29th for the PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch. You can also get an early access to the full game on the Xbox One or PC if you have an active EA Access or Origin Access membership. You will be able to get access to the full version 3 days before the launch if you have pre-ordered the Icon or Ronaldo edition of the game.
