Final Fantasy XV Devs Comment On PS4 Pro Version, Improved Graphics For Regular PS4

Final Fantasy XV has been confirmed to include support for the PS4 Pro. Since it is much more powerful than a regular PS4, the developers can utilize the extra power to improve the visual fidelity of the game.

Final Fantasy XV director Hajime Tabata talked about the difference for the PS4 Pro hardware compared to the regular PS4 in an active time report at TGS 2016.

According to Tabata, the Pro was revealed quite recently so they haven’t set a time to properly showcase their game on the new hardware. Since PS4 Pro will be out before the release of the game, they are planning to support it fully at launch so those people who buy a PS4 Pro can enjoy Final Fantasy XV with improved visuals on their hardware.

Tabata also assured the regular PS4 users that they have polished the game even further on the regular PS4 hardware. He specifically mentioned trees being improved on the PS4, which looked rather low quality in the Gamescom master footage.

Square Enix is also releasing a Behemoth themed jacket for Noctis that he can wear in the game. This jacket is a DLC and will be available after the launch of the game. You can check it out in the screenshots below.
