Final Fantasy XV in English sounds … different

Final Fantasy XV is being developed by Square Enix, a Japanese developer, so all previously released media we’ve seen of the game has been in Japanese. Today though Square Enix released the TGS trailer from back in September in English and on a first listen, the voices certainly have a different feel to them.

So Ignus is British and I think I heard Tidus too, Troy Baker is probably also in there somewhere since he’s in everything now. I don’t really have a huge problem with English voice overs in most of the JRPGs I play, but there’s something with this the work done in the trailer that doesn’t seem to click. Maybe the trailer was a quick dub and they’ll be doing proper studio work later? The trailer does sound pretty … rough. Hey, maybe it’s just me?

Well, what do you think? And also let us know which language will you choose to play Final Fantasy XV if Square Enix decides to be generous enough to include Dual Audio like the upcoming release of Final Fantasy Type-0.

Final Fantasy XV is currently in development for the Playstation 4 and Xbox One, the game currently doesn’t have a release date.
