Square Enix has released the first trailer for the upcoming story DLC for Final Fantasy XV called Episode Gladiolus. This is character story DLC featuring Gladiolus set during the events of Final Fantasy XV.
The trailer for the game was shown for the first time at PAX East and features Cor and a newly designed Gilgamesh. This DLC was developed by a separate team and it is included in the Season Pass of the game, or can be bought separately for $5.
Episode Gladiolus will feature a playable Gladio as the main character who will partner up with Cor on a new journey. The gameplay is completely revamped for this episode featuring a focus on defense compared to the fast paced action of Noctis. Gladiolus is able to defend attacks that allows him to increase his attack power. He is then able to dish a large amount of damage to the enemy.
Gilgamesh also makes an appearance in Episode Gladiolus although he is a character featured in the world of Final Fantasy XV. The newly designed Gilgamesh appears to be the final boss fight of Episode Gladiolus, which will reportedly take around 2 to 3 hours to finish the firs time.
Final Fantasy XV is available now for the PS4 and Xbox One.
