Final Fantasy XV director Hajime Tabata has shared another sales update for Final Fantasy XV in a new interview. According to Tabata, the total shipped and digital sales of the game now stand at about 7 million across the PS4 and Xbox One. This is without the upcoming Royal Edition which will launch on March 6th for the PS4 and Xbox One and will come bundled with the Season Pass and new addition content.
Final Fantasy XV will also get a release on PC with the Windows Edition which will launch on the same date as the Royal Edition. This PC version of Final Fantasy XV will feature all of the post-launch content released so far and also include support for Mods and 4K textures. According to Tabata, while they don’t really have a sales target, the team hopes to achieve 2 million lifetime sales of the PC version making the combined net sales across all platforms to exceed 10 million.
Final Fantasy XV launched back in November 2016 for the PS4 and Xbox One. The game was developed by Business Division 2 of Square Enix under the direction of Hajime Tabata. It will get a Royal Edition on March 6th along with Windows Edition for PC on the same date. Tabata has also confirmed that they have plans to release more DLC episodes leading into 2019.
