Square Enix has released the promised 60 fps update for Final Fantasy XV on the PS4 Pro. This update is also available for the regular PS4 and Xbox One and adds some new content to the game while also fixing bugs.
Those who own a PS4 Pro might be happy to know that the game now runs at an unlocked frame rate that fluctuates between 40 to 60 fps, as revealed by the game director Hajime Tabata. This frame rate improvement is now available as part of the PS4 Pro ‘Lite’ mode which runs at native 1080p.
As for other changes introduced in this new update, timed events are now a part of it and they appear to provide a huge amount of experience points and AP. They are a good source of experience farming before we get some of the more tougher timed mob boss fights.
The full changelog for this update can be read below. It is live on both the PS4 and Xbox One and the download size is a little over 2 GB.
- PlayStation 4 Pro console Lite Mode compatibility with a maximum of 60 fps
