Final Fantasy XV will be one of the many games that has been confirmed to get support for the hardware enhancements offered by the Xbox One X. Since Final Fantasy XV on the Xbox One was a hit and miss in term of visuals compared to the PS4, there is a good chance the Xbox One X version easily makes it the best version of the game.
Square Enix hasn’t shared any video from Final Fantasy XV running on the Xbox One but they have shared 2 direct-feed screenshots of the Xbox One X version that give us a glimpse at what to expect from the game running at 4K resolution on the Xbox One X.
Since Final Fantasy XV already supports 4K resolution on the PS4 Pro with additional enhancements like a higher resolution running at 1800 Checkerboard and improved ambient occlusion, anti-aliasing and anistropic filtering on PS4 Pro, just how well does this version stack against the Xbox One X version? We have taken screenshots from the exact same location on the PS4 Pro making sure to keep the time of day the same since Final Fantasy XV has a dynamic time of day. You can find the image comparison below. The PS4 screenshots are taken at 4K resolution along with the Xbox One X version.
Final Fantasy XV is available now for the PS4 and Xbox One. It will get support for the Xbox One X once it launches although there is no confirmation whether it will be native 4K or Checkerboard 4K, just like the PS4 Pro.
