Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster on PS4 had a couple of major bugs that plagued the release at launch. One of the major issue was with the random number generator (RNG) in the game, which was not so random, resulting in the same outcome for battles and items. Strangely this issue only affected the PS4 version of the game and the PS3 and Vita versions were free from it.
In a new post on the official Final Fantasy page, Square Enix has confirmed that they are releasing a new patch to fix these issues on the PS4.
You can check out their official response below.
We are aware of the audio and RNG bugs in Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster on PS4 and rest assured that we are in the process of creating a patch to fix them.
Details on timing will come soon. We’re sorry about the bugs but this is your story and we want you to be happy with it.
Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster was released on the PS4 in May. It was originally released exclusively for the Vita and PS3. The PS4 version of the game featured the option to switch between the original and the remastered OST as well as lower load times and Full HD resolution.
