Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster Release Date Announced For PlayStation 4

Square Enix has announced the release date for Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster for the PlayStation 4. The game is set to launch on PlayStation 4 on May 12th and will cost about $60. Square Enix are also offering some extra collectibles to the users who pre-order the game, including an exclusive calendar featuring the art of Yoshitaka Amano.


The PlayStation 4 version of the game offers the following functionality:

Cross-Save Functionality – Players can transfer their save and continue their progress across the PlayStation®4 system, PlayStation®3 system, and the PlayStation®Vita handheld entertainment system. (PlayStation®3 and PlayStation®Vita versions sold separately.)
Ability to Switch Between Original and Remastered Soundtrack – Play FINAL FANTASY X with the beautifully remastered soundtrack or, new to the PlayStation®4 system version, switch back to the original classic tracks.
Remote play – Supported for the Playstation®Vita handheld entertainment system.

Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster was originally released for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita last year. It was confirmed for the PlayStation 4 recently and will be released on it on May 12, 2015 in North America.
