Fire Emblem Three Houses Japanese box art has been revealed and its pretty bad

Fire Emblem Three Houses’ Japanese Box Art was revealed today and honestly its pretty horrible.

Nintendo and Developers Intelligent Systems released brand new media for their upcoming Switch exclusive, which was featured front and center in the February 2019 Nintendo Direct.

Fire Emblem Three Houses Japanese box art

The first thing to feature is the game’s Japanese box art, check it out below:

I mean just look at Claude in the middle, the box art is totally ruined by that. Hopefully the Western release sees a different box art. This however totally ruins the trend of the Japanese box arts being much superior, I have no idea what Nintendo and IS were thinking with this. People are even making memes of the box art.

Secondly we have some new music samples, below is the Main Theme of Fire Emblem Three Houses:

Next up is the Battle Theme:

Both sound pretty nice, I really like how Nintendo focuses on having lyrics in the game music. The Xenoblade games are another great example of great OSTs with lyrical tracks.

Fire Emblem Three House Fodlan Collection

Lastly we have the Japan exclusive Fodlan Collection which includes the following:

  • A copy of the game
  • Steelbook case
  • Fodlan Artbook
  • Fire Emblem Three Houses Sound Selection CD

The Fodlan edition will retail for $100 and is available for pre-order now.

Fire Emblem Three Houses releases exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on July 26, 2019.
