Firewatch Devs Are Working On Optimizing Performance For PS4, Reveal Stunning Firewatch PS4 Theme

Firewatch is currently facing performance issues on the PS4 due to the game engine Unity and the developers have confirmed that they are currently working with Sony and the Unity development team to get these issues sorted out on the PS4.

Firewatch is an indie game developed by Campo Santo and published by Panic. It is out today on Feb 9th for the PC and PS4. Unfortunately the game faces some performance issues and stuttering on the PS4. Since the game is developed with Unity game engine, the developers are currently working with Unity and Sony to get these issues sorted out. According to a post by one of the developer on NeoGAF, they are hard at work on getting it fixed.

FWIW, we’re currently talking to both Sony and Unity and we’re all working hard to to optimize performance of Firewatch on PS4.

It’s tricky, because it really requires all three partners working together to improve — it’s not something we can tackle on our own, unlike a game bug — but we’ll definitely continue to patch all platforms with every content and performance fix we can over time!

To summarize: we’re on it. : )

In addition to this, the developers also shared a glimpse of the upcoming Firwatch theme for the PS4 and it looks stunning to say the least. You can check it out in the image below.
