Firewatch Release Date On Nintendo Switch Is “Very Close,” Four New Screenshots Shared

Firewatch is close to getting a release date on Nintendo Switch. You can also have a look at four new screenshots from the game.

Firewatch game dev Jake Rodkin has shared some new information on the Nintendo Switch port for the game. He mentioned that the release date is very close when answering a question on Twitter, which sounds positive because it means the game might launch soon. He also shared a bunch of new screenshots from the game, as you can see below.

Firewatch was developed by Campo Santo in the Unity game engine. It was problematic at times which led to some performance related issues at launch, that were subsequently patched out. It will be interesting to see how the Nintendo Switch version manages to hold up next to the other consoles in term of performance.

Firewatch still looks gorgeous on the Nintendo Switch even if the flaws do appear more apparent due to the lower resolution. The art style helps keep the atmosphere the same, so now we can only hope for stable performance and the Nintendo Switch version can prove to be the ideal version with its portable mode.

Firewatch is available now on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The game was developed and published by Campo Santo.
