Epic Games has released a new update to fix the issues with the explosive damage in Fortnite and it is live now.
The last major update to Fortnite that added explosive damage which angered a lot of fans. It led to every Fortnite subreddit getting complaints from every fan regarding this new change and Epic Games took it to heart and has quickly released a hotfix to revert any changes made after the new patch.
This hotfix is now available to download on the PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Here is what Epic Games had to say on reddit regarding this new update.
The hotfix has been deployed and explosives no longer damage players through structures.
Thanks again for the feedback and discussion you provided.
If you were affected by this update, the new hotfix should resolve this issue. PS4 users also received a Fortnite update version 1.90 today but it doesn’t seem to relate to the explosive damage, rather it is more of a client side stability update judging from the official information shared by Epic Games. The explosive damage hotfix is live right now and if you haven’t received it, wait for the game client to update first.
Fortnite Battle Royale is available now for the PS4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Smartphones.
