Fortnite Update Version 1.88 For PS4 [Patch Notes] PC, Xbox One, And Switch

Epic Games has released a new update version 1.88 for Fortnite Battle Royale today on the PS4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch and Smartphones.

The last major update for Fortnite was for update version 1.87, which added a new event in time for Halloween. This update mostly deals with the issue on the client side and seems to be more of a hotfix that was released after the last major patch.

  • Matchmaking performance improvements
  • Players no longer appear invisible in the lobby.
  • The PLAY button now works as intended on both PS4 and Xbox One
  • Voice chat no longer persists after leaving your party

If you were facing any issues after installing the new update for Fortnite, this hotfix should hopefully resolve all of them. In any case, it is a mandatory update for Fortnite Battle Royale that is rather small in size.

Fortnite is a free-to-play game that offers two different modes. One is the Save The World mode that is essentially tower defense but it is currently in paid early access and will go free-to-play in 2019. The other is Battle Royale, which ended up becoming a truly global phenomenon and helped kickstart the whole Battle Royale craze along with PUBG.
