Friday the 13th: The Game Kickstarter Announced For PS4, PC and Xbox One

Gun Media today launched a Kickstarter campaign for Friday the 13th: The Game. The project will only be funded if at least $700,000 is pledged by Nov 14th, 2015. The game is focused mainly on the original scenarios of Jason and his battle with the camp counselors that have been a part of the Friday the 13th movies. Moreover, the game includes a new multiplayer feature in which players can play as a masked murderer, Jason Voorhees. Jason will fight against seven innocent control camp counselors because they stepped into the area of Camp Crystal Lake. Furthermore, the players can also decide on how to brutally set up and perform the kill of their prey.

Gun media made an agreement with the director and producer of the original Friday the 13th movie, Sean S. Cunningham, on the license. They also ensured that different scenarios in the game would be as original as in the movie. Before the agreement, Friday the 13th: The Game was originally called Slasher Vol.1: Summer Camp. At the moment, Kickstarter campaign has 2,307 backers and $132,334 pledged.

In term of stretch goals, the game includes a digital copy at $30 reward tier and a physical copy at $75 reward tier.
