Microsoft has confirmed the Games with Gold lineup for May 2018 for the Xbox One and Xbox 360. Just like it was the case with this month, May will feature a major third party game in the form of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain for the Xbox One. Joining it will be Super Mega Baseball 2 for the Xbox One.
The full Games with Gold lineup can be seen below along with the official video that showcases all of the upcoming games.
Xbox One
- Super Mega Baseball 2
- Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
Xbox 360
- Sega Vintage Collection: Streets of Rage
- Vanquish
As it is usual with the Xbox 360 games, they will be all playable on the Xbox One through the backward compatibility program. Vanquish might have frame rate issues on the original Xbox 360 but it was mostly resolved with the Xbox One backward compatibility support so if you are itching to return to Platinum Games’ cult hit, the next month should be a good time to do it with the free release for Xbox Live Gold subscribers.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will join Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes as the second game to release on the Xbox Live Gold program although it is still lacking a Xbox One X support. The game has already been patched to support the improved resolution on the PS4 Pro.
