Gears of War 4 Beta Starts On April 18th; Here’s How To Get It

Gears of War 4 will get a limited beta on April 18th exclusively for the Xbox One. This was revealed by The Coalition who confirmed the launch date for this closed beta on the Xbox One.

In order to gain an access to the beta of Gears of War 4, you will need to get your hands on the Gears of War: Ultimate Edition for either the Xbox One or Windows 10. If you own a copy of the game, you will have to play it before April 11th in order to be eligible for code for the Gears of War 4 closed beta on the Xbox One.

Beginning on April 18, fans who’ve played Gears of War: Ultimate Edition on Xbox One or Windows 10 will begin to receive tokens in waves for early access to the beta. Following the conclusion of early access on April 24, all qualifying Xbox Live Gold members on Xbox One will be invited to join the beta until it ends on May 1.


Gears of War 4 is currently set for a release in Fall 2016. It is being developed by The Coalition under the direction of series veteran Rod Fergusson. It was recently confirmed that the game will run at native 1080p and 30 fps for its single player campaign and 60 fps for its multiplayer. Splash Damage are assisting The Coalition with the development of Gears of War 4 multiplayer.
