Gears of War 4 Gets Two New Maps On 1st November

The fourth main entry in the highly popular Gears of War Series, Gears of War 4 released earlier this month to mostly positive reviews. Now, it has been announced that first round of DLC for the game is set to arrive early next month.

The full descriptions for the maps can be found below:

Revisit the iconic supermarket in Cole’s hometown of Hanover 25 years after the events of Gears of War 3 in this Legacy Map. Much like the rest of Sera, nature is reclaiming whatever it can following the Locust Wars, but that hasn’t slowed the fast, furious and frenetic combat that takes place between the checkout lanes and the electronics department.

Transported from a COG ship building facility to a ship breaking scrapyard on a Seran mudflat, this fan favorite returns with a vengeance to Gears of War 4 Versus Multiplayer and Horde modes.

The maps will be available first for Season Pass holders on 1st November, and will then arrive for free on public playlists on 8th November. Checkout and Dry Dock will be the first set of free map updates planned for the game, which will then be followed up with an additional 2 maps per month for the next year, bringing it to a total of 24 free post-launch maps.
